About Reiki

Reiki – Rei = Universal / Ki = life force energy    ~UNIVERSAL LIFE FORCE ENERGY~

Reiki is an ancient and profoundly simple system of “laying on of hands” healing derived from Tibetan Buddhism. In the West, Reiki has been kept highly secret for many years.

Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese seeker of spiritual truths, brought Reiki method of healing to human awareness in 1922. His tradition and methods have been passed through several grandmasters of Reiki.

Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not affiliated with a particular religion or religious practice. It is not massage nor is it based on belief or suggestion. It is a subtle and effective form of erergy work using spiritually guided life force energy.

Energy can stagnate in the body where there has been a physical injury or emotional pain. These energy blocks can cause illness. Dis-ease

REIKI session – I begin by checking the flow/movement of the 7 major Chakras. After locating any blocks in a person’s chi (energy).  I move through each of the Chakras by “Laying on of hands” My hands are lightly on or hovering above the body between 3-10 minutes with intention to create deep relaxation, to speed healing, reduce pain or any other symptoms you may be experiencing. To complete the session I use Tibetian singing bowls on and around your body to bring vibration deep into the body.

REIKI MASSAGE session – I begin by checking the flow/movement of the 7 major Chakras. After locating any blocks in a persons chi (energy). I continue with “Laying on of hands”.  My hands are lightly on or hovering over specific areas of the body between 3-10 minutes with intention to create deep relaxation, to speed healing, reduce pain or any other symptoms you may be experiencing. I then massage your hands/fingers, feet/toes, neck & head or any other area you may feel “stuck”. To finish the session I use Tibetian singing bowls on and around your body to bring vibration deep into the body.

Chakra means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. There are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.
