Thai Yoga is a spiritual, nurturing, and flowing style of bodywork that takes my clients to a beautiful space for healing and relaxation. It is a unique experience in that there is constant body contact between myself and my client, but rather than rubbing on muscles, the body is slowly and firmly compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked in order to clear blockages and relieve tension. I work with my clients in many positions, including; side-lying, seated, stomach & back while incorporating the use of my thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees, feet as well as body mechanics and body counter-weight to create a graceful balance between movement and stillness. Thai sessions are done on a supportive floor mat with my client clothed. This allows the body to be in motion and moved into so many postures that cannot be accessed with the limited mobility provided by a massage table.

Thai Yoga is ideal for everyone. You do not need to be strong or flexible to receive this style of work. I use a variety of modalties and bodywork techniques as well as my own personal style to support each individuals needs, limitations, body type and age. It appeals to people, and is effective, because I treat you with respect while encouraging you to let go of physical and emotional restrictions and to go beyond your present limitations. Clients often report feeling taller, expanded, refreshed, much more aware of thier body. It is a great aid in helping with both recovery and maintaining good health.

Thai Yoga (known in various forms as Nuad Boran, Thai Bodywork, Thai Massage, Lazy Mans Yoga) is part of a rich indigenous Medicinal Traditions that draw influence from India, Southeast Asia and China. Many of these traditions are thousands of years old. It is based on principles similar to those of the Shamanic healing systems. This practice aims to harmonize the whole of the bodies energies. Thai massage focuses on circulation of vital energy in major pathways called sen lines (also referred to as energy lines and meridians). There are important pressure points along these pathways that are manipulated to help release tension and toxins, thus balancing the emotions and realigning the bodies energies. Thai Yoga can bring you back to a place of harmony on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.
*After a Thai session, you should drink plenty of water and have an epsom salt (2-3 cups) soak to help with detoxification. You may feel some soreness or discomfort for the first 24 hours, especially in areas where you have had problems. After that, you should feel relaxed & refreshed.*
I am a Bodyworker, Certified in Thai Massage, a Reiki Master and a Certified Yoga Teacher. My journey into the healing arts reemerged in 2006 when I was opened up to the healing power of Reiki. I was overjoyed to offer relief to people in physical, mental and/or spiritual discomfort. I was able to take my work to a whole nother level when I began practicing and studying Thai Bodywork in 2011. In the spring of 2019 I received my 200 hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Certification). The combination of these three modalities is so powerful!
I continue honing my craft thru ongoing exploration into the many variations of Thai Bodywork, other healing modalities & personal experience. I integrate all to guide me to my ultimate goal: to assist people in their quests to heal their body, mind & spirit in a loving, safe environment.
